Three Days in the Jungle
Three days is just the right amount. Long enough to properly exhale, short enough that you won't run out of things to do. You'll canoe at dawn, walk deep into the jungle, eat well, do very little for an afternoon, and then spend a night in our watchtower with nothing between you and the jungle sky.
It's not a tour package in the traditional sense. There's no bus, no laminated schedule, no group of forty. It's a small group of people moving at the right pace through one of the most extraordinary pieces of wild land in South Asia — with the same guides who'll bring you tea in the morning.
You leave slower than you arrived. That's the idea.

Roll in whenever suits you. We'll get you settled, hand you a welcome drink, and sit down for a proper chat about what's ahead. As the sun drops, head out with your guide for a sunset jungle walk — the sal forest in golden hour is something you don't forget. Back to the lodge for dinner, a cold drink, and an easy evening. Sunset jungle walk · Welcome drinks · Lodge dinner

Up early. Dawn canoe on the Rapti — an hour and a half on the water as the mist lifts and the birds wake up. Back for breakfast, then straight into the jungle for a full guided hike — deep enough to feel like you've actually gone somewhere. Afternoon is yours entirely: hammock, birdwatch, nap, cold drink, whatever you need. As the light fades, join the evening yoga session on the terrace. Slow and grounding, exactly what the day calls for. 06:00 Dawn canoe · Jungle hike · Free afternoon · 17:30 Sundown yoga
-
Sleep in. Eat well. Wander the treehouse. The morning belongs to you — no guide, no schedule, no alarm. Late afternoon, pack light and walk out to the jungle watchtower. Dinner is brought out to you. You'll fall asleep to the jungle and wake up to whatever passes by at first light. Free morning · Treehouse wander · 16:30 Watchtower departure · Overnight in the jungle
-
One final sunrise from the tower. Jungle breakfast as the birds sort themselves out. Then back to the lodge — shower, pack up, and off to wherever's next. You'll get there feeling better than when you left. Tower sunrise · Jungle breakfast · Departure

Good to Know
What to bring
Long trousers and closed shoes for the jungle days. Light layers for the tower night — it gets cool. A refillable bottle. Binoculars if you have them, we've got loaners if not.
Fitness level
If you can manage a few hours of flat walking back home, you can manage this. No scrambles, no steep climbs. The jungle hike on Day 2 is the most demanding — still very manageable at a steady pace.
Group size
Small. We cap the jungle activities at 10. In practice it's usually 4–6, sometimes just you.
The tower night
Basic and brilliant. A raised wooden platform deep in the park, with bedding and dinner provided. Composting toilet nearby, no electricity, no Wi-Fi, no noise except the jungle. Torches provided. It's one of those nights.
Our ethics
No elephant rides. Ever. We keep proper distance from wildlife, we don't bait sightings, and we follow park rules to the letter. Wildlife always comes first.
Weather
Heavy rain and we'll adjust the schedule sensibly — no charge. Light rain and we go. The jungle is brilliant in a drizzle.
Cancellation
Free up to 48 hours before arrival. After that we'll do our best to move your dates rather than lose the booking entirely.
Best season
Oct–Mar for clearest wildlife sightings and cool mornings. Apr–Sep is greener, less crowded, and the tower night in the warm months is something else entirely.

Honestly, probably. We spot them on most outings — especially the canoe and the early morning walk. But wild animals do as they please and we'll never promise what we can't guarantee. The not-knowing is part of it.
-
Very. It's an established park structure, well-maintained, and your guide will cover everything before you head out. People are regularly surprised by how comfortable it actually is.
-
Absolutely. Plenty of solo travellers do this one. You'll join the group for activities and have plenty of quiet time at the lodge. No single supplement on activities. Solo room rates apply for accommodation — just ask when you enquire.
-
The yoga session is included but entirely optional. Show up if it appeals, skip it if it doesn't. No one will chase you.
-
8 and up for the jungle activities, generally. The lodge itself is great for families. Drop us a message and we'll work something out that suits everyone.
-
Yes — and we'd encourage it. Extra nights at the lodge, additional tours, a lazy day doing nothing. Just let us know when you enquire and we'll put something together.
